Zharmena Teneva

Zharmena Teneva is a primary Montessori guide and a Bulgarian pre-school teacher.

She holds Bachelor's degree in Preschool pedagogy and Master’s in Speech Therapy from the University of Sofia "St. Kliment Ohridski". While completing her degree, she worked as a preschool teacher with children aged 4.5-6 years. In the meantime, she also babysat for foreign families living in Bulgaria.

For her, the children are a source of strong emotions, knowledge and a clearer philosophy and understanding of the world. Through her experience as well as raising her two sons, she came to believe that children need love, peace and patience.

She was introduced to the method of Dr. Maria Montissori at the university and was very impressed by the freedom this philosophy provides by meeting each child individual needs and encouraging his independence.

In her free time she likes to read books and fairy tales. She likes listening to music, practising different sports and yoga. Her favorite hobby is cooking.
